About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
ideaSpace West is a founder-focused co-working space in west Cambridge, based within the Entrepreneurship Centre at the Hauser Forum. It brings together founders and entrepreneurs working on scalable, innovative ventures, and welcomes people beyond University of Cambridge affiliation. The emphasis is on creating a supportive community where members can work alongside other start-up teams and develop their businesses. Members have access to guaranteed desk space, with lockable storage available on full-time membership, alongside meeting rooms that can be booked remotely, fast Wi-Fi, printing and scanning, and fully equipped kitchens. The refurbished West space includes open-plan work zones, individual locker space, focus and collaboration areas, meeting rooms, phone booths and digitally equipped rooms suited to different ways of working. Community is central to the ideaSpace experience. Members can take part in a varied programme of networking and business events, weekly Mix and Mingles, wider ideaSpace socials, and conversations through the online discussion forum, member messaging platform and portal. The social and event area provides a setting for connection and larger gatherings, while practical additions at West include showers and secure underground cycle parking. Set within the University of Cambridge’s West Cambridge research and development park, ideaSpace West suits early-stage founders, spin-outs, start-ups and ambitious entrepreneurs who value peer support, useful introductions and an environment shaped around innovation. Whether you are refining a new business idea or growing a young venture, the space offers a friendly base for focused work and shared learning.
