About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
Jamaica Yard is a design-led hub in Edinburgh’s New Town, bringing together coworking, events and a boutique athletic studio in a characterful setting. Its central coworking space, Hive Spaces, is designed to sit comfortably between a social hub and a private office, giving creative professionals room to focus, collaborate and meet others. Flexible memberships, day passes and ten-day passes make it suitable for both regular users and occasional visitors. Members and day-pass users can make use of relaxed common areas, the White Space for quieter concentration, private focus pods, outdoor seating and an e-bike charging point. The coffee bar adds Redemption Roasters coffee, artisan snacks and fresh pastries, while high-speed Wi-Fi, printing, monitors, a projector and a Neat Board support productive working and hybrid meetings. For meetings and smaller gatherings, The Green Room and The Vaults provide bookable spaces with a more private feel. The Green Room seats up to seven, while The Vaults seats up to eight and includes two Mini Vaults. The venue’s warm, tactile design and varied layout also lend themselves to social events, networking, workshops and creative collaborations. After hours, Jamaica Yard becomes an atmospheric private-hire venue for launches, exhibitions, parties, book groups, lectures and celebrations. It offers a staffed cocktail bar, courtyard, music and lighting facilities, and space for larger gatherings. Yard Athletic adds a boutique fitness option, with personal training, occasional studio hire, member classes and private changing facilities with a shower. With its mix of focused work, community activity and distinctive event spaces, Jamaica Yard suits freelancers, creative teams, members, visitors and event organisers looking for something less conventional.
