About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
The Bank Space was a Wheelhouse coworking venue serving Newcastle-under-Lyme, created to give start-ups, freelancers and growing small businesses a practical place to work, meet and develop. Its offer centred on flexible workspace, with options described as ranging from an individual desk to space for a small team. The venue promoted hot-desking and dedicated desks alongside private or small-team office space. Meeting rooms were available for brainstorming, presentations and discussions with clients, investors or stakeholders, making the space suitable for both focused individual work and collaborative business activity. The operator also presented trial-day and pay-as-you-go routes, together with membership-style access. Set within a former bank building, the workspace was described as light and airy, with generous desks, ergonomic seating, breakout areas and coffee available to help members settle into a productive routine. Supporting facilities included Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen, printing and individual storage, while workspace information also referred to presentation equipment and extended member access. The atmosphere was intended to be friendly, community-minded and encouraging rather than corporate or impersonal. It was particularly suited to freelancers, remote workers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, social enterprises and small teams looking for an affordable base where they could work independently while still meeting like-minded people. The venue’s current status should be confirmed before presenting it as an active workspace.
