About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
The Trampery on the Gantry is a distinctive creative workspace in Hackney Wick, built into a striking steel structure at Here East beside the canal and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Its vertical-village layout brings together 21 freestanding studios with open-plan desks in the shared Village Hall, creating a characterful setting for independent businesses and solo practitioners. Studios are designed for artists, makers, architects, music producers, designers and other creative projects. They come in single-storey and duplex formats, with natural light, insulation, sinks, electric heating and outdoor areas overlooking the park and River Lea. Desk members work from the Village Hall, with a shared lounge that makes it easy to connect with neighbours while keeping a productive base. Everyday facilities include high-speed internet, printing, a communal kitchen, meeting rooms, members lounge, bike storage, showers and accessible, gender-inclusive toilets. Desk members also have 24/7 office access, while the community programme adds weekly socials, member events and opportunities to exhibit. The space is designed to support both focused work and the informal exchange of ideas that helps creative businesses grow. The majority of studios are prioritised for businesses based in Hackney Wick and Fish Island, with remaining availability open to the wider community. Whether you need a permanent studio, a fixed desk or a welcoming place to meet other creative people, The Trampery on the Gantry offers an imaginative, community-minded home for small businesses and independent practitioners.
